Why is KitchenAid stepping into the world of specialty cafés? . At first, I was skeptical because all luxury brands seem to open up cafés. (prada Louis vuitton…)
And yes, after hearing about their upcoming pop-up café during Antwerp Coffee Week together with Stad Leest, I realized it’s a smart move. This isn’t just about selling high-end espresso machines; it’s about bringing specialty coffee people’s homes. More people are learning about the craft of brewing at home with top-notch machines, and in the process, they’re turning to micro-roasters rather than supermarket beans. So why not elevate that experience further with a pop-up café that makes specialty coffee feel approachable, even glamorous?
And how cool is it, that we as a coffee industry are influencing the big brands now?
